Extremely hot hot sauce
I purchased some peppers from the farmers’ market on Saturday thinking I was getting the kind that are a little spicy, but deliciously edible. They have them on the Pizzaiolo menu described as, “some spicy, some not” and I’ve made them before in a similar fashion to what they do. The vendor assured me this is what I was purchasing, but as it turns out, these are more like, “some really spicy, some excruciatingly spicy” and definitely not edible on their own. Long story short, I decided to make some hot sauce instead.
Directions: Toss spicy peppers in olive oil and roast on 400 for about 10-15 minutes. let cool until able to handle, remove seeds from about half to all of the peppers if you prefer. Coarsely dice and blend in food processor with white vinegar, olive oil, lemon and salt until desired taste and texture. Use wisely!
